4. A staged kidnapping
A 31-year-old woman, living in a separate unit attached to her parents'
house. On the night of her disappearance, she drove to visit a
friend in her car - a "Golf". She did not return home that night and after
talking to her friend, it turned out that she never met with her and wasn't
even at the house. The family notified the police of their daughter's
disappearance.
The police discovered further details
An hour after leaving her home, she refueled her car in the Tel-Aviv
area and used a credit card to pay. The missing person made a phone call from
the Tel-Aviv area to her friend's apartment, which lasted for approximately 45
seconds. The phone stopped signaling in the vicinity of Be'er
Tuvia in the south.
T.M.P. began to act a day
after her disappearance.
Preparing a profile for the missing woman
The missing woman worked as a teacher in a school. She was economically
independent and single. She had a boyfriend she broke up with, who physically
assaulted her, resulting in his confinement in a locked ward in a hospital for
the mentally ill.
We learned that a week before her disappearance, the boyfriend escaped
from the hospital. During that week, she only left her house to go to work or
public places, accompanied by her father or brother, as she feared her
ex-boyfriend, who escaped from the locked ward in the hospital.
The family suspected that the ex-boyfriend, who escaped from the locked
ward of a hospital for the mentally ill, is involved in the girl's
disappearance. A chopper was used to find the missing person's car from south
Be'er Tubia to her area of residence in Rishon LeZion. After a 4-hour search,
there was no sign of the car, a blue Golf owned by the missing person.
The search model
At that stage, the team decided to conduct questioning and extend the
profile in order to choose a different search model than the family's
assessment of the situation. After questioning the friend whom the missing
person was supposed to visit, we learned that the friend's house was being
renovated by a contractor who befriended the missing woman and she told him
about the boyfriend missing from the locked ward and added that she contacted
the police and other agencies, because her life was turned upside down.
The team assumed that the missing person, together with the contractor,
initiated her disappearance, in order to protest to official bodies against the
helplessness of the enforcement system concerning the escape of the ex-boyfriend
from the locked ward. The team began to pressure the contractor by following
him, surveillances and phone calls, intended to make sure he understood that he
is involved in the disappearance of the missing woman, who was indeed found.
We found out that the missing woman arranged with the contractor to pick
her up and drive her to Mizpe Ramon, where his father lived, where she would
stay until she achieved her goal. Indeed, the phone call to her friend's house
was to get in touch with the contractor, who was working there and he drove her
to Mizpe Ramon.
On the way, he disconnected her mobile phone near Be'er Tuvia, returned
her car to Tel Aviv and parked it in a parking lot. She initiated her entire
disappearance and no crime was committed in this case.
