An 18-year-old, 12th grader. She lived with her parents and
brother in Haifa. The
family notified the police one day after her disappearance, the girl was
missing for a week. At this point of time, we were contacted to locate her.
Preparing a profile for the missing girl
A 12th grade, high school student. The father is a wealthy
industrialist, the mother is an academic. The missing person has
an older brother, a university student.
The brother is considered the successful son of the family, he received
a car as a gift and the father gives him a high allowance. The father is strict
with the daughter, mainly concerning money and using the family car.
From a conversation with the missing girl's friends, we learned that
fact that the father preferred her brother bothered her a lot and she spoke of
the possibility of working as a call girl, so she won't need her father's
money.
The search model
The team decided that the profile of the missing girl indicated that she
would not turn to working as a prostitute on the street, or work for a pimp,
but rather try working independently in an unfamiliar environment.
The team began reviewing newspapers ads for escort services, massages,
and other services in the Tel-Aviv area. Girls with a foreign accent were
excluded.
Phone calls were recorded and played to the brother, a voice that
resembled his sister's was visited by the team, equipped with an identifying
photo.
A week and a half later, the missing girl was recognized in a rented
apartment in Tel-Aviv, working as an independent call girl.
Details were given to the family, recommending that the girl be
approached by a third party - a clinical psychologist, rather than the police
or directly by the family.
